The U-15 national football team convenes a meeting at the edge of CAFA games.

Afghanistan U-15 national football team held a meeting on July 12 chaired by Wahidullah Wahedi, head coach of the team. Purpose of the meeting was to discuss participation of the team in CAFA games, and to give information to players on their responsibilities towards the team and in the competitions. Second round of CAFA U-15 games are supposed to be held from July 22 onwards with the participation of Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Iran, which will be hosted by Uzbekistan.

Formed in 1933 and affiliated to FIFA since 1948, the Afghanistan Football Federation was one of the founding members of Asian Football Confederation in 1954.
