Afghanistan U16 national football team off to Iran to take part in AFC Asian Championship Qualifiers

Afghanistan U16 national team convoy left Kabul for Hamadan province of Iran this morning to participate in 2020 AFC Asian Championship Qualifiers after Mr. Mohammad Yousuf Kargar, the AFF president, bid farewell to them. The competitions start on September 14 to 22 and 47 Asian teams participated that are devided into 11 groups. The U16 national football team is group-mate with Iran (host), Palestine, and Maldives in C group.

Formed in 1933 and affiliated to FIFA since 1948, the Afghanistan Football Federation was one of the founding members of Asian Football Confederation in 1954.
