Afghanistan Football Federation introduces new head coach.

The AFF introduced new head coach for the national team today, July 10. The ceremony held in the presence of Mr. Keramuddin Karim, the AFF president, a number of provincial presidents, the AFF officials and the media. The AFF introduced Anosh Dastgir, former national team assistant coach of the national team, as the new head coach. Mr. Keramuddin Karim, the AFF president, while extending gratitudes to Mr. Otto Pfister, former head coach, for his sincere efforts in managing and planning of the national football team, he introduced Anosh Dastgir, a young, hardworking and talented person as a proper alternative to Otto Pfister. Mr. Karim said, “Afghanistan Football Federation cannot have a better option rather than Anosh Dastgir in the present situation; Anosh is an Afghan and a young and committed person to his country and fellow countrymen.” Following Mr. Karim’s speech, Mr. Anosh Dastgir felt happy for being selected as head coach, and he promised that he would not spare anything for his people and country. Mr. Dastgir expressly talked about formation of second national team that its selection and trainings will take place in Afghanistan. He talked on the national team’s progress and said, “certainly it has progressed a lot and we got out of the group whose playing level is low, and now we are facing second grade teams of Asia such as Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, India etc. and we will make it to first grade Asian teams’ level with our efforts, hardworking and with specific goal and plan.” At the end, a two-year contract was signed between the AFF and Anosh Dastgir, new head coach of the country’s national football team.
