First standardised football ground for women inaugurated in Kabul.

An unprecedented and special initiation by the AFF; in the continuation of infrastructural initiatives, the AFF has for the first time in the history built a particular football pitch for women. Construction of the standard ground was started 4 months ago, which is now done and open to be used during a special ceremony. Afghanistan Football Federation has built the AFF Stadium, the AFF administrative/office buildings, futsal gymnasium, beach soccer stadium, 3 particular pitches for the youths and Herat Stadium, and now they are available to football society of the country. The AFF intends to construct Balkh and Ghazni stadiums and put artificial turf on the grounds as well. The following personalities attended inauguration ceremony of women football grounds: L.T.G Keramuddin KARIM, the AFF president, Shir Mohammad Bahador, advisor to the President of Afghanistan, Dr. Mirwais Bahawi, vice-president of the National Olympic Committee,Otto Pfister Afghanistan National football Team head coach, Anoush Dastgir national team assistant coach, Ali Askar Lali Afghanistan national teams manager, The AFF leadership, head of football federations of Bamyan, Parwan and Kandahar provinces, Mastora Arezo, president of Badminton Federation, families of athletes, and two women U-17 and senior national teams.
In the end, national U-17 and the national team played a friendly match
